Get Back To School Ready!

How did we get to the middle of summer? At least that is what it is here in Texas, as school starts in August! Among the World Cup fun, beach trips and the endless "I'm bored!" from the kids, we have hope that school is coming! Let's talk about what can get you one step ahead!
For the empty-nester or moms with college age kids - I have back to school prep even for you!
In fact, let's start with that. As our kids are ready to go off to college, they will leave behind drawers and closets of high school shirts. Still full of great memories, but they are moving on to greater things. Don't let those just sit there! Get the ready for a t-shirt quilt to gift at Christmas. For others that are getting new backpacks, lunch bags, or any thing that can put a name or monogram on, now is the time to start! Waiting last minute - like the night before school - will just stress you and me out! A little extra lead time is helpful for us that have a home embroidery business as we can work around our kids' summer schedules. The same is for those cute applique first day shirts for the perfect picture to start off the new year!
And let's not forget our teachers! I love giving a little something at the meet the teacher night just to start the year off right! I love giving little zip bags with a name or a word with puff embroidery on it filled with all sorts of things for just the teacher - high lighters, pens, hand sanitizer, dry erase markers, sharpies, mints, etc are just a few ideas for things I have added in the past!
